A full BIM app that also works on your phone or iPad. From the same team: draw walls, doors and windows on site, drop in furniture from this generator, and send the model to Revit as IFC. Works offline, like everything Wallnaut makes.
Choose a piece on the left, then type sizes or drag the sliders. Limits are shown under each field; anything outside them is flagged in red and the downloads wait until it is fixed. Switch in / mm at the top: metric snaps to standard metric sizes (10 mm steps), imperial to ½".
Plan shows the symbol with its clearance zone (dashed) and overall dimensions. Elevations shows the front and the right side. 3D is a quick look at the solid model that goes into the IFC file.
Each material of the piece (upholstery, wood, worktop, metal…) has its own colour. Pick a finish or any colour; the 3D view and the IFC file use it, and the IFC surface style is named after it (e.g. Upholstery - Sage). Your colours are remembered for the next piece. DXF stays black-and-white line work by layer.
DXF (AutoCAD 2018 format) holds the piece as named blocks: plan, _FRONT,
_SIDE and _CLR (clearance), laid out side by side. Insert a block, or open the file and
copy what you need. Layers: A-FURN outline, A-FURN-DETL detail,
A-FURN-ELEV/-ELEV-DETL elevations, A-FURN-CLR clearance (turn it off to
hide it). Units follow your choice (inches or millimetres).
IFC (IFC4) holds one furniture object with its type, solid body, colours and properties (name, code, width, depth, height, material, manufacturer). Revit: Insert › Link IFC or open it. ArchiCAD: File › Interoperability › Merge. BlenderBIM, Vectorworks and SketchUp Pro also read it.
Wall pieces (sofa, bed, cabinets, desk, vanity, shelving) are inserted at the back centre, front facing down the screen. Free-standing pieces (tables, clusters) are inserted at the centre. Elevations sit on the floor.
